Georgina Christopher

Senior Account Manager

Professional Background

After completing a degree in Biology at the University of Leeds and deciding that a career in the lab wasn’t for me, I investigated internships to help decide which path I was going to take and immediately liked the look of marketing. My first internship was at a small social media start-up, followed by a second at a large PR firm in Manchester. There I decided to pursue a career in PR, as I loved the time spent building relationships with journalists, suppliers and team members. I then went to Altrincham-based marketing agency Rumpus and spent just over four years progressing from intern to account manager. At Rumpus, I worked across a wide range of consumer and trade clients, delivering an integrated set of services including PR, social media and digital marketing. Here I knew I was set on a career in accounts. It allowed my love of all things ‘organisation’ to flourish while leading on client comms and team development. As I progressed at Rumpus, my interest in and love of all things social and digital came through, so when I felt like a new challenge was due, the opportunity to work as a senior account manager at Campfire appeared at the right time. It’s crazy to think how far we’ve come as a team since I started, doing such incredible work for a truly outstanding set of clients. The best bit is knowing there are still so many fantastic things to come!
